Debbie Taylor Williams has been teaching the Bible to women for over thirty years. After serving as the Teaching Leader for a class of 450 women in Bible Study Fellowship, she co-founded a multi-denominational Bible study through her church that grew to over 300 women and for which she writes and teaches Bible studies. In 1999 she founded Hill Country Ministries, a non-profit ministry, dedicated to spreading Gods Word and love through her speaking ministry, books, DVDs, and CDs. Her weekly Bible study is aired on local television. In recognition of her spiritual impact on the community, Debbie was recognized as Kerrville’s 2000 Woman of the Year.
Through Howard Publishing, Debbie authored Pray With Purpose, Live With Passion and Prayers of My Heart. With New Hope Publishing, she authored, If God Is In Control, Why Do I Have A Headache? Her second book with New Hope, If God Is In Control, Why Am I A Basket Case? is to be released in 2009. She is co-author of Trusting God’s People….Again, released in 2007. Through her denominations’ state convention, she authored and taped the video driven Bible study, Discovering His Passion, served on the Women Reaching Texas Task force, and was a featured columnist. In addition, she served as a guest panelist at the Women’s Leadership Conference in Ft. Worth, Texas. Williams is a religion columnist for the Kerrville Daily Times newspaper.
Debbie has been a television guest on Life Today with James and Betty Robison, At Home Live! with Chuck and Jeni, God Answers Prayer, Friends and Neighbors with Kim Gravel, Atlanta Live, and San Antonio’s TBN; as well as over 30 national radio stations.
Debbie speaks at retreats and conferences throughout the United States. Known for her passion, Williams has been described as a velvet hammer, delivering God’s Word with power, relevance, and humor. Her message, whether written or spoken, rings with the authenticity and depth of one who has been impacted by the diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
She and her husband, Keith, have been married for over 32 years. They have two adult children, Taylor and Lauren, and son-in-law, Chris. When not writing or teaching, Debbie enjoys time with family and friends, skiing, fly-fishing, traveling, reading, or playing with her lab puppy.
