Nancy Kennedy - Author Biography
![]() |
Nancy B. Kennedy having been both an editor and a writer, loves the give-and-take of the creative process that produces a great read.
Nancy has had a rewarding career in journalism, the craft that has been her passion since she graduated from Penn State University. Early on, she had the privilege of working as an editor for Dow Jones in the pioneering newsroom that ultimately produced the online Wall Street Journal.
As a freelance writer, she has contributed to the online Journal, as well as to other Dow Jones publications, including the precursor to today's CareerJournal.com. Her bylines have appeared in regional and national publications, including The New York Times. For many years, she wrote syndicated newspaper columns for Merrill Lynch and edited financial books for Princeton University Press.
Upon becoming a parent, Nancy combined biblical storytelling with her son's interest in active play (i.e., things that make noise and explode) to publish two science activity books--Even the Sound Waves Obey Him and Make It, Shake It, Mix It Up (Concordia Publishing House). Her background as a reporter is being put to good use in her current project, a book of weight loss success stories titled How We Did It.
Nancy lives in Hopewell, NJ, with her husband John and their 9-year-old son Evan.
