Mark Hitchcock graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1991 and has since pastored Faith Bible Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. He completed his PhD at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2005. Before being called to the ministry, Mark was an attorney working at the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.

He has authored fifteen books with nearly 500,000 copies in print. His titles include, Iran: The Coming Crisis, 101 Answers to the Most Asked Questions About the End Times, The Second Coming of Babylon and The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. In addition, he has contributed chapters to several books, including the Tim LaHaye Prophecy Study Bible, and served as prophecy editor for the Left Behind Prophecy Club for three years. Mark and his wife Cheryl live in Edmond, Oklahoma with their two sons Justin (16) and Samuel (14).
